Responsibility 1: Project Task Allocation and Support
- Participate in new customer audits and confirm the readiness of project documentation.
- Provide TR technical documents for projects and, if necessary, accompany business personnel to meet with customers.
Responsibility 2: Project Launch Preparation
- Review project preparation status and confirm all project outputs.
Responsibility 3: Project Process Supervision and Support
- Formulate new project teams and plan project timelines.
- Develop project capacity evaluation plans and submit them to the project manager for review.
- Participate in project weekly meetings and phase review meetings to promptly manage issues and prevent risks.
- Organize project progress meetings, track the progress of assigned projects, and ensure they remain under control.
- Be responsible for translating and confirming customer drawings and technical standards, as well as organizing review activities.
- Oversee the approval of product packaging specifications and conduct packaging and transportation evaluations.
- Follow up on the evaluation and approval of external suppliers, feasibility plans, and sample parts.
- Monitor project progress, especially the development, production, and acceptance of molds, and provide timely feedback and seek support for any abnormalities.
- Track trial production of samples and the entire PPAP production process, providing timely feedback and seeking support for any issues.
- Organize and coordinate internal preparations for customer PPAP audits and support audit responses.
- Convene project summary meetings at various stages, develop improvement plans, and track their completion. Accompany customers during on-site audits at the sample stage.
Responsibility 4: Project Approval/Acceptance
- Track the approval and internal signing of PSW for assigned projects and ensure timely document issuance.
- Monitor customer feedback after sample delivery.
- Be responsible for conducting project acceptance activities.
Responsibility 5: Mass Production Support
- Coordinate and follow up on the procurement, trial production, and acceptance of backup molds.
- Coordinate customer design changes and ensure smooth internal implementation and transition.
- Support the implementation of customer VAVE initiatives within the factory.
- Coordinate and track the development progress of production increase projects, including the availability of new equipment and fixtures, and sample submission approvals.
Responsibility 6: Participation in Safety Implementation
- Conduct learning and examinations as required by the company, fulfill safety duties, and identify safety issues and improvements.
Responsibility 7: Personal Development & Training
- Mentor junior engineers and review the effectiveness of their work (applicable to mid-level and senior engineers).
- Participate in internal technical exchange sessions and contribute to the extraction and standardization of technical experience.
Responsibility 8: Tasks Assigned by Superiors
- Complete temporary tasks assigned by superiors.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing, project management; ability to read and create mechanical drawings; proficiency in basic 2D/3D software; understanding of IATF16949 management system; familiarity with VDA6.3 process audits; knowledge of development tools such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
- Familiarity with aluminum die-casting, die-casting molds, machining, and surface treatment processes; proficiency in Project, Excel, PPT, and other application tools; understanding of project management processes; ability to independently develop projects.
- At least 2 years of experience in project management or in the aluminum die-casting/machining industry; experience in automotive OEM is preferred.
- Proficiency in Chinese, English, and Malay.
